Maple Flooring
Maple is our most abundant species, which is fast growing and majestic. It offers a brillent-coloured autumn foliage. A very versatile wood with excelletnt working properties, which suites almost any project.

Premium Grade
(Special Order)

  • Consisten in color and grain
  • Mineral Streaks of less than 1/8" x 1"
    (3mm x 25mm)
  • Slight variation in the natural color of sapwood
  • Checks or splits not allowed
  • Minimum length of 12" (300 mm) with
    majory 2'-5'


Atlantic Select

  • Appealing blend of the natural coloration of the heart and sapwood
  • Sound knots less than 3/8" (9mm)
  • Minimum Length 12" (300mm) with majority 2'-5'
  • Splits, checks and holes are not allowed

Atlantic Colonial

  • Heavy coloration of the heartwood and spawood
  • Minor milling defects, small holes (filling may be required)
  • Majority of short pcs 12" and up (3000mm+)

Color
Sapwood is slightly lighter than hard maple. Ranges from pale to almost white. Heartwood is grey to pale reddish brown with characteristic brown streaks.

Texture
Close grain, uniform, similar grain pattern to hard maple, although 25 % softer.

Common Usage
Furniture, mouldings, millwork, cabinetry.
